CADW have submitted a formal objection on the Powys County Council planning website. Their assessment surmised that they have significant concerns about the likely adverse impact on Llanerchydol Park and Garden. They also stated that the application (from Roger Parry & Partners) is inadequately documented and that they should submit additional information.

The Welshpool Planning and Development Committee voted last night (July 24, 2019) at a town hall meeting to unanimously “strongly object” to the proposed planning application from Frochas Farm to build a 7,200sq ft industrial chicken factory next to Dingle Nurseries & Gardens.
We’ve now had confirmation from Welshpool Town Council about the format of the Town Hall Meeting scheduled for July 24, 2019, at 6pm specifically called for the Frochas Farm IPU planning application. This meeting will be a very important meeting and the council encourages everyone to attend.
As expected the main notice for the proposed IPU at Frochas Farm has appeared in the print edition of County Times today under Article 12 (3) of the planning regulations.
